Ika natassa
is one of the best novelist who use metropop's genre. "Antologi Rasa"
is her third novel after "A Very Yuppy Wedding" and
"Divortiare". It is suitable for people who love story about urban
romance.
In this
novel, the author tell the story with a different way. She write the story with the point of view of
the every characters. The title of the chapter is wrote by latin language, it
is one of the uniqueness of this novel. The cover is attracted the attention of
people in the bookstore, with the picture of heart that simply make the novel
become eye catching. Ika Natassa is marvelous author, she put the story with
her view about art, music and the other.
The story
tell about a simple romance between four best friends, Keara, Ruly, Haris and
Denise. Keara is the perfect women who
has glamour life. She falls in love with Ruly since the first meet. Ruly is the
charming man, religious, polite and workaholic. He loves Denise eventhough she
was married. And Haris is kind of jerk and player, lie to every women.
It is begin
when Keara and Haris went to singapore to watch the F1 race together. One night
Keara was frustrated with Ruly and she drunk. Unconsciously Keara ask Harris to
kiss her. Haris who evidently loves Keara since he met at the elevator in the
first time is shock. With his evil mind, Harris ended up screwing with Keara.
Keara was very mad and decided to stay away and ended their friendship.
Ruly finally
realized Denise really loved her husband, even though her husband had hurt
her. Ruly felt the presence of Keara, he began to forget Denise and one day
Ruly and Keara had started a relationship. However, Keara still feel hurt
because actually Ruly not really forget Denise. Harris later became a friend to
share the tears. Keara end his relationship with Ruly and re-establish friendly
relations with Haris.
With the
simple of the main story, the author is genius to create a brilliant plot with the
simple conflict. The background of the story success beautifully illustrated by
the author, brings her readers as to enjoy the state of the background in these
neighboring countries. The readers is made curious and did not want to stop read
until the end of the story.
